REMARKS of the Rector of Toshkent Gumanitar Fanlar Universiteti, Sabirov Qaxramon Bektursunovich, on the Visit to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vak?f �niversitesi

✅ “Within the framework of our official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the meetings held with the leadership of one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in the region — Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi — marked the beginning of a new era in our cooperation.

✅ Following the negotiations, the university’s management team provided us with a comprehensive introduction to the institution’s remarkably rich historical heritage and modern potential. Based on what I observed during this familiarization process, I would like to emphasize the following:

✅ Historical continuity and grandeur: Founded in 1471 by the great ruler Fatih Sultan Mehmet, this academic institution with a 555-year history left a profound impression on us. In particular, the fact that students study within a system of historic campuses such as Üsküdar, Haliç, and Topkapı, in buildings that are masterpieces of Ottoman architecture, represents the highest harmony between history and modern education.

✅ Strategic cooperation and academic integration: The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the university leadership is not merely a document, but a gateway to world-class opportunities for our students and academic staff.

✅ From now on, our academic team will have the opportunity to enhance their professional qualifications in historically and spiritually significant places such as Ayasofya Medresesi, as well as to exchange experience within the framework of Erasmus+ and other international grant programs.

✅ Scientific and innovative approach: During our visit to the university’s research laboratories and technologically advanced classrooms, we reached concrete agreements on implementing joint innovative projects and co-organizing prestigious international academic conferences.

✅I am confident that the strategic partnership established with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi will strengthen the position of Toshkent Gumanitar Fanlar Universiteti in international rankings and contribute to providing our students with education of the highest quality.

✅ I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the host institution for their warm welcome, exceptional hospitality, and for introducing us in detail to every aspect of the university. This cooperation represents not only a partnership between two universities, but also the unity of two brotherly nations on the path of science and enlightenment.”
