Tashkent University of Human Sciences

Tashkent University of Human Sciences (abbreviated as: TGFU; English: Tashkent University of Human Sciences, TUHS; Russian: Tashkent University of Human Sciences) was established in December 2022.

The university is one of the first non-state higher education institutions established in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The university’s education system includes academic and non-academic education. Academic education covers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs; non-academic education includes courses in English, Chinese, Korean and Russian, as well as various short-term training programs. The standard duration of bachelor’s programs is 4 years, part-time programs last 5 years, and master’s programs last 2 years.

Currently, the university offers 23 bachelor’s degree programs and 3 master’s degree programs, including primary education, pedagogy and psychology, linguistics and foreign language teaching, accounting and auditing, tourism management, economic management, world economy and international economic relations, finance, information systems and technologies, logistics, marketing and other fields.

At present, the university teaches English, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Korean, German, Spanish, French and other foreign languages. In the future, it is planned to establish faculties of English philology, Chinese philology and translation studies.

Based on its academic strengths and the growing demand for qualified specialists during the transition to a market economy, Tashkent University of Human Sciences develops cooperation with foreign higher education institutions on the principles of respect for national and universal values, shared use of resources, complementary advantages, mutual benefit and joint development.

TGFU promotes the internationalization of higher education based on the principles of peace and cooperation, openness and tolerance, mutual learning and mutual benefit, and deepens educational cooperation with domestic and foreign universities in order to jointly train highly qualified professionals.

University students have opportunities to study not only in Uzbekistan but also abroad. In particular, undergraduate students may be sent to foreign universities on a grant basis after completing their second year. They can continue their studies in China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Russia, Italy and other countries.

Tashkent University of Human Sciences cooperates with many foreign higher education institutions and annually sends talented students to partner universities abroad on a grant basis.

Each applicant can choose a field of study according to their interests and receive high-quality education in comfortable and modern conditions, becoming a highly qualified specialist in their chosen field.

Currently, more than 5,000 students study at Tashkent University of Human Sciences, and more than 80 faculty members work at the university. The administrative building is located in Tashkent, with additional campuses in Turtkul and Samarkand.

The university has established an Education Development Fund as well as centers for language and cultural studies. In addition, preparatory courses in Chinese, Korean, English and Russian are offered. The main goal of the Education Development Fund is to support and encourage faculty members and students, promote scientific and creative activities, publish textbooks, provide scholarships and organize educational and cultural events.

The construction of the “Tashkent Campus of Tashkent University of Human Sciences” is planned to begin in the near future. The campus will include academic buildings, a library, a university-affiliated school and kindergarten, a stadium, dormitories for faculty and students, cafeterias, a supermarket and other facilities.

The university community aims to enhance the institution’s international reputation in the near future and include it among the world’s leading universities.
